I worked with New Earth for a year and a half, primarily as a storyboard artist and revisionist, though I also aided the design team with some concept art for props.
Working from the script, and closely with the art director, I produced roughs like this for scenes 8 and 9 of the pilot for New Earth. Once I finished, I aided other team members in a revisionist role, ensuring consistency across boards, correcting camera movements and backgrounds.
Plot synopsis:
In Scene 8, three of the main cast are given fines by a police officer, as she drops them off at a local bar as a warning. This scene introduces the two other main leads, and introduces the missing young woman, whom the group will spend the series, trying to find.
Plot synopsis:
Scene 9 is much shorter- following the group as they exit the bar together. This scene functions as a bit of world building- presenting a range of odd characters in the street, how they interact, and having more television exposition on our missing protagonist.
